Top Page > Course 1 A journey to learn about Tohoku history and bask in ancient culture
This course follows the history and culture of modernizing industry, which blossomed in the mountain hamlet of Michinoku. In the broad area of Morioka-Hachimantai, there were mines that once spread that name as the driving force behind Japanese industry. Even now, there remain facilities that offer a glimpse into the appearance and the style of prosperity of those days, relating modern industrial history in a fun and easy-to-understand manner. In addition, there are still many townscapes alive with the culture that developed through history, where you can enjoy the sensation of falling back through time. Please enjoy this experience along with the famous hot springs of Hachimantai.
