Kosaka Town

Kosaka boasts beautiful views of Lake Towada and is home to the Korakukan (Japan's oldest theater) and the Kosaka Kozanjimusho (Kosaka mine administrative building), which stores and exhibits heritage pieces related to the era of modern industrialization.
The Acacia Festival takes place in June, when the whole town is enveloped in the sweet aroma of acacia flowers from the town's three million acacia trees. The Lake Towada Water Festival follows in July, when the lake is at its finest.
In October, Kosaka celebrates the harvesting of the grapes from the cool plateaus with The Food and Agriculture Festival, and the Lake Towada Fuyumonogatari (Winter Tale Festiva,) takes place in February amidst the falling snow and deepening winter.
